In November 1984 two teenage girls from the western part of Massachusetts
committed suicide. It was a Saturday morning, and as I read the newspaper,
God had me weeping for those two girls. At the same time He put a burden
on my heart for the youth of this country. I asked God why would any
young person take their own life?
Unfortunately, over 500,000 young people attempt suicide each year.
Since that morning in 1984, God has increased my burden for our youth
and to bring the hope of Lord Jesus Christ to them.
My wife, Susan, as well as my children share in the ministry with
me. Their constant support and encouragement has enabled me to respond
whole heartedly to the call of God. To God be the glory of all things.
A scripture God has given us since the conception of His Kids Ministry
is found in Psalm 32:8. The scripture reads, "I will instruct you and
teach you in the way you should go." God has been faithful in His word
to us.
